What it does. Reads and writes CapCut (and JianYing) draft projects: subtitles, timing, speed, volume, simple animations like fades and ken-burns, and cutting long video into shorts. The assistant runs it with npx.
What we checked. Its built-in doctor command returned ok on our Mac with ffmpeg present. We did not run edits on a production project.
Before you try it. It edits project files directly. Copy the project folder first, and close CapCut while it works. CapCut is a Bytedance product; whether a given export suits your platform is your call.
