Clipping means posting short clips of a brand’s content and being paid per view. We make no claim you will earn anything. Whop’s own blog states one average: $1 per 1,000 views, with brands setting their own rates (Whop).
Before you start
- Read the Creator Terms (last updated 2026-10-04). Campaigns on the earlier Whop-hosted experience can follow older terms.
- Check the campaign’s accepted platforms. Connectable platforms are Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube and X; each campaign picks which count. Instagram needs a Professional/Business or Creator account.
- Find the campaign’s minimum payout (set per campaign). Whop’s example: a $3 rate with a $6 minimum means a clip needs 2,000 views to be reviewed (Whop docs).
- Use only the footage the brand supplies for that campaign.
Math to do first
- Fee: a flat 10% creator fee on CPM payouts. At $1 per 1,000 views you net about $0.90 (our arithmetic).
- Timing: a CPM round is a 7-day earning period then a 3-day hold, about 10 days, then withdrawal through Whop. Whop’s older blog says payouts are instant; the newer terms describe a hold, so plan for the hold.
Rules that can get you removed
- Clear disclosure at the start of the video as the terms require.
- No view-farming or botting.
- Instagram Collab posts only if the brand allows them.
- No political clips on TikTok or X.
- YouTube: monetized content must be original and not mass-produced or repetitive; if you borrow content you must change it significantly (YouTube policy). That is about YouTube monetization; it does not say clipping with permission is banned.
The flow
Post the clip publicly, submit its public URL, the brand approves or rejects it, Whop verifies views through the platform APIs, then you withdraw. Exact button names for joining a campaign are inside the logged-in app, which we did not use.
